As the voice for people with dementia, as well as their loved ones, the Alzheimer’s Disease Association (ADA) aims to create a more dementia-inclusive society in Singapore. Grounded in the core values of compassion, commitment and integrity, ADA believes in increasing the quality of care for the elderly with dementia, through a unique approach of continued research, education and training for dementia treatment. ADA strives to inspire other organisations to empower people with dementia treatment and their families to become respected members in an inclusive society.

In Singapore, less than a third of those suffering from mental illnesses actually seek professional help. Instead, most opt to seek support from people closest to them – people who often end up being their primary caregivers. This is where Caregivers Alliance Limited (CAL) comes in. CAL is the sole professional non-profit organisation in Singapore, which caters specifically to providing training and professional support for caregivers, in order to enable them to better serve and care for people with mental illnesses. Through education, outreach and advocacy, CAL hopes to improve the lives of caregivers and families of people with mental illnesses.

Community Chest is the philanthropy and engagement arm of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) and it strives to ensure that every person has the opportunity to live a life of dignity within a caring and inclusive society.

Centre for Fathering (CFF) was founded on the belief that an active and involved father is essential for a child’s successful development.

Club Rainbow was formed to support and empower children with various chronic and life-threatening illnesses by providing relevant and compassionate services in their journey towards an enriching life.

The majority of children registered with Club rainbow are under these six specific illness groups:

1. Blood Disorders

2. Chronic Liver Disease/Biliary Atresia

3. Congenital Heart Defects

4. Very Low Birth Weight

5. Neurological Disorders/Spinal Bifida

6. Rare Genetic Disorder

The Go Beyond Design Challenge is an international Design + Engineering competition for architects, engineers, designers, inventors and innovators who desire to create solutions that will pave the way to a better world.

GoFlow is a non-profit organisation that is dedicated to providing clean and safe drinking water to underprivileged communities across the world. Their lightweight water filtration device can be easily deployed with a bicycle to transform contaminated water from rivers and other waterways into safe drinking water. The filtration units have been distributed and have uplifted communities in Cambodia, Uganda and Nigeria.

GASS was initiated in 2001 at the Department of Architecture, School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore (NUS). GASS aims to establish an Asian-rooted center of excellence to foster the exchange of ideas and studies within this field.

To instil leadership and commemorate the legacy of Singapore’s first elected President, ONG Foundation has supported NUS and SUTD student teams to scale these peaks.

NeuGen Fund is a member of The Community Action for the Rehabilitation of Ex-offenders (CARE) Network, an alliance of various Social Service Agencies (SSAs) and Government Organisations dedicated to community engagement, coordination of aftercare efforts and enhancing service delivery for ex-offenders and their families.

NTUC U Care aspires to be a Caring Labour Movement that helps improve the lives oflow income members and families, supports needy children and youths in their pursuit of excellence; and provides assistance to the elderly.

Often, those drowning in thoughts of suicide end up grappling to break the surface. It is not that they want to give up, but rather, they have no idea how to help themselves. To address this, Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) acts as sustainable help to them, tethered by its mission “To be an available lifeline to anyone in crisis”. It focuses on preventing suicide by providing an email befriending service and a 24-hour hotline. With its comprehensive approach, SOS ensures than anyone contemplating suicide would receive holistic support and care for as long as they need.

SAMH aims to improve the lives of persons with mental illness and provide support for their families, promoting acceptance and respect for the mentally ill and improve the resilience of our community.

SCS is a community-based voluntary welfare organisation dedicated to minimising the impact of cancer through public education, screening, patient services, financial assistance, research and advocacy. The donation was made through 50for50.

The Scout Foundation was set up to raise funds for the holistic development of the Youth in Singapore through Scout Groups in schools and the community, upgrading of camping and related infrastructure, and giving financial support to the disadvantaged.

TAS is a student body representing the interests of Architecture students at the National University of Singapore and aims to promote architectural education and practice relevant to the needs of society.

The UOB Global Heartbeat Run/Walk is an annual flagship volunteering and fundraising programme held globally across 18 markets.

Yayasan MENDAKI (Council for the Development of Singapore Malay/Muslim Community) is a pioneer Self-Help Group in Singapore. Its programmes assist students and individuals with education and training, helping to uplift the Malay/Muslim community’s educational performance and develop its resilience and adaptability.

By acting as a safe haven for individuals suffering from all forms of addiction, be it the internet, drugs or eating disorders, WE CARE Community Services is able to help them in their recovery. It provides these individuals with opportunities to undergo counselling with skilled professionals, as well as chances to interact with others facing similar addictions. In addition, WE CARE facilitates outreach programmes and community education to raise awareness among the community. As a leading help and care centre, WE CARE advocates acceptance of people with addictions and transforms their lives.

The Woodbridge Hospital Charity Fund (WHCF) is established to receive contributions and donations for the promotion, development, and provision of mental health-related services in Singapore, including:

  • The pursuit of medical research and development;
  • Programmes for continued medical, nursing, paramedical and related education and training;
  • Publication of research and educational literature;
    Provision and improvement of equipment and facilities for research and development;
  • Holding of conferences, seminars, and exhibitions;
  • Provision of funded care to patients who are in need of financial assistance.
